The weather's turning colder, and yet the Hope still floats on the dark still lake. A few frosts have come and gone, and Caspian has made a point of covering her sails carefully when he comes in from a voyage about the lake, but the days are still fine more often than not and no ice has yet formed, and so she stays for now.
In fact, he's just been out on the water himself; which explains the pinkness of his cheeks and the windblown, hay-gold hair that sticks up every which way from his head, whipped by the cold breezes moving across the water. And now he is standing on the shore, winding up a faded rope slowly while he looks in the direction of the silent Black Pearl.
The floating dock is gone; Jack's pulled it away.
It's a little worrisome.

She feels this is a valid argument.
"There are trees! And--and bushes and things, and so what? We're married. Bet Lilly wouldn't object," she mutters and doesn't care if she's being petty.
She still wants him, dammit, and he is over there and not over here where he very obviously should be.

"There aren't enough trees," he mutters, feeling a little annoyed himself.

"There could be. You just don't want there to be." That makes total sense.

This conversation is growing steadily more bizarre; he glances around as if wondering whether or not he's about to find that a pit has opened up behind him.
"Don't be ridiculous, of course I like you."

"You are the one talking about kissing Lilly Kane," he points out. "It's a bit hard for me to get past."

"Are you feeling quite all right?" he asks, cautiously.

"But you weren't just kissing."

She just really likes him and loves him and she just wants him to kiss her and he won't and it's horrid.

"I don't need you to."

At a total loss, he spreads his hands uselessly.
"I'm sorry?"
no subject
"If you don't want to spend time with me, I'll just find someone who does."

He's almost as taken-aback by this as he had been by her declaration that she would kiss Lilly Kane.
"You know that isn't true."
no subject
"Do not," she mutters. "You won't kiss me."
no subject
"What on earth does that have to do with anything? Of course I kissed you, I love you."

"Pirates!" is her answer, which in Lucy speak, at the moment, means, "For God's sake, it's not like it's going to shock them, I kissed the bloody captain at our wedding, and why aren't you shagging me, again?!"
no subject
"What on earth is going on?"
