It is hardly unusual that the door opens. 

It is slightly unusual, perhaps, that it opens seemingly on its own, onto a warm green land bordered by a calm, gleaming sea that smells of salt and something like lilies.

With such a view, anyone glancing out the door might be forgiven if they did not see the individual for whom it opened – not unless they glanced down.

And then down some more, where a mouse – a Mouse – stands on its back legs, studying the room before it with a soldier's practiced eye. It is about a foot high, darkly furred, and a scarlet feather nods rakishly from a golden circlet it wears about one ear. 

Apparently making up its mind, the Mouse enters, and the door closes. 

(One story ends, and another begins.)

The Mouse scurries – er, climbs – to the top of a seat at the Bar and lifts its small, impatient voice. "Hey there!" it calls. "Who is master of this alehouse?"

"Su," he murmurs, and kisses her again, his fingers firming at the back of her head, his arm wrapping more tightly around her waist. She's sweet and steadying and as his pulse climbs, his head clears, a merciful relief from the swirling, darker thoughts of before.

She makes another small sound and shifts in his arms so she can put both of her own around him, drawing as close as she can as she returns his sweet kisses, as longing begins to rise like a tide in her blood.

He curves his hand against her ribs, wrapping her tightly in his arm and pulling her against his chest, drowning in her kisses, in her scent, in her warmth. He draws his other hand down from the back of her head and over her shoulder to the flat of her chest, feeling her heart beating against his palm.

His hand settles over her heart, and she can feel it start to beat faster, and knows he’ll feel the race of it too.

Susan kisses him again as she slides her hands up his back. She tangles one hand in his hair and trails the other along the side of his throat to his shoulder and back again, her touch light and teasing.

He shivers beneath her light touch, utterly willing to lose himself in her completely. Her heart flutters beneath his palm like a butterfly, and he keeps his hand light and gentle as he slides it down over her breast and back up again.

“Oh,” she breathes, arching into his touch. Her fingers curl into the collar of his shirt, warm against his skin.

His breath is turning ragged at the edges; he slides his hand back down again, wanting to feel her arch into him, his palm warm over her shirt as he brushes his thumb back and forth.

Better by far to focus on her, to make her gasp and to turn her kisses yearning and breathless.

She moans as her nipple hardens at his touch, and kisses him again, wanting more.

Susan takes her hand from his hair to brace them both on his shoulders and shifts in his arms, settling astride his lap with the easy grace of a rider, and bends down to kiss him once more, her hair falling around them.

The hesitation of the first night is gone, but the reverence remains as Caspian lifts his hands to begin unbuttoning her shirt, trading kiss after kiss as the soft fabric falls open, loose against her. He slips his hand beneath the opened shirt and palms her again, his thumb moving with more deliberation as he kisses her mouth, her jaw, then down along her throat.

"Su," he murmurs, and kisses her collarbone. "You're so beautiful."

Her breath catches as he trails kisses along her skin, and again with a soft gasp as he caresses her.

“Caspian,” she pleads.

[the_seafarer]

"Here," he promises, reaching up to her bra straps and sliding them down her shoulder, beneath the loose shirt, so he can pull the soft, flimsy material down to free her. He pushes at her shirt, coaxing her to slide it from her arms and bends his head to her breast, kissing along her soft curving skin until he can capture her taut nipple in his mouth, swirling his tongue firmly over it.

Another soft cry escapes her as her back arches, as she presses up into the sweet intimate kiss. Susan slips her shirt free and lets it fall, then tugs at his, wanting the warmth of his body.

He pulls back only long enough to shed his own shirt before his arms go back around her, his fingers working at the clasp of her bra as he kisses down along her breastbone to the other breast. As the scrap of fabric falls away, he pulls her in tight, surrounding her sensitive nipple with his warm mouth, laving it with his tongue.

He's lost in her, in the texture and taste of her skin, in the way her body arches against his, and he runs his hands up her back, coaxing her to press more firmly against him.

She traces the line of his shoulders with her hands, following the shape of muscle, and draws her palms over his chest and around his back as she settles more closely against him with a flex of her hips.

Susan kisses his hair and holds him tight, murmuring his name as her breath turns ragged, as desire flares bright.

He groans against her skin and kisses across to her other breast, smoothing one hand up her body to take the place of his mouth with the first, teasing and caressing with fingers and lips and tongue, trying to make her shiver and shake and say his name again in that soft, breathless tone.

She gasps and rises up a little at the twinned sensation that sends lightning striking through her, then rocks back down against him with a full-body shiver. Susan plunges one hand back into his hair, while she traces along his spine with the other, inch by inch, down to press flat at the small of his back.

He makes a breathless, wanting sound and rocks up beneath her, his hand flat on her back, the other curved around her soft skin. He traces down to the waistband of her practical blue jeans, then down over her rear and along her thigh where it presses against his.

His thoughts are vapor; there's nothing at all but her and the sounds she makes and how much he wants her left.

”Caspian—“

She kisses his hair, then his temple, as she tightens her fingers in his curls. She slips her other hand inside the waist of his light trousers and over the curves at the base of his spine, then his hip, as much as she can with them seated together so.

He laughs, breathless, against her and leans up to kiss her mouth; once, twice, putting both hands at her hips and drawing them around to work at the button of her jeans.

"We may need to move," he murmurs, smiling against her mouth.

[sai_delgado]

“Only if thee wants,” she teases, kissing him again before she bends closer and trails further kisses along his cheek to his ear, then behind the line of his jaw.

“But if thee’d rather we stay here—“

[the_seafarer]

"Oh?"

He shakes as she kisses the thin, sensitive skin at the corner of his jaw and tips his head for her. "What then?"

“Would’ee like me to show thee?”

As much as she wants more of his touch, of the way he kisses her, Susan wants more to see the shadows lift from him, to spark laughter and joy and pleasure in him. She lingers over the spot behind his jaw as he shudders, teasing it with her lips, pulling lightly on the delicate skin.

She's full of mischief and sparkling delight and his heart grows lighter even without his noticing at her sweet teasing.

"Very much," he manages, his hands warm on her waist.

She hums against his skin and begins to drop kisses along the line of his throat.

Susan reaches down with one hand, then the other, to unhook the laces of her ankle-high boots and slip them free one after the other, then shifts back until she’s at the very edge of the chair.

He lets her go enough to move along his lap, even as his body cries out for her to come closer once more, but keeps his hands lightly on her waist to help steady her. Unnecessary, for Susan is as lithe and balanced here as she ever is on the back of a horse, but he's unwilling to let her go completely.
